A few quick details, then you'll choose your time.
Hi, I'm Dr. Megan Baldassarre.
A neuropsychological evaluation should be an informative and personalized experience. Long waitlists and complicated paperwork can prevent individuals from accessing the care they need.
I recognized these barriers within the current system and believed there is a better way. With a commitment to creating a more welcoming, patient-friendly experience, I set out to make that vision a reality.
Riverside Psychology was built around a higher standard of care: timely scheduling, a calming office environment, and clear, easy-to-understand results and feedback.
Faster access. Personalized care. Real results.
If you're here, you've probably already waited long enough.
Most people who come to Riverside have been managing unanswered questions for years. They don't need more time. They need answers.
-
"I've been struggling for years, but no one has ever given me a clear diagnosis."
-
"I was told the wait is six months. I can't keep putting my life on hold."
-
"My child needs accommodations at school but we don't have the documentation."
-
"I got a report once but no one explained what it meant. I need someone to actually talk me through it."
-
"My memory has been changing and I'm scared. I just want someone to tell me what's going on."
Staying in the unknown
usually costs more than the answer.
You can't treat what you haven't named
Many patients cycle through treatments that don't fit because no one has done the work to understand what's actually happening. The right diagnosis changes everything from medication decisions to therapy approaches to what support you ask for.
Documentation opens doors
Workplace accommodations, academic support, disability determinations, and care planning all require formal documentation. A neuropsychological report gives you the evidence you need evidence that lasts and travels with you through the healthcare system.
Getting it right the first time matters
A thorough evaluation from a board-certified neuropsychologist takes the guesswork out. One comprehensive report can guide a decade of care decisions and prevent years of mismanagement that comes from working with an incomplete picture.
What the evaluation process looks like
A neuropsychological evaluation isn't a single test. It's a structured assessment of how different parts of your brain are working attention, memory, language, processing speed, executive function, and more. The goal is a complete picture, not a single score.
What to ExpectClinical history review
Before the evaluation day, Dr. Baldassarre reviews your medical history, prior records, and the specific concerns that brought you in. Understanding your history shapes how the evaluation is designed.
Intake interview
A structured clinical interview with Dr. Baldassarre covering your background, developmental history, and what brings you in the foundation for interpreting your evaluation results accurately.
Evaluation day
The evaluation itself can range from 1 to 8 hours depending on the referral question and your needs. Testing involves a range of tasks: some verbal, some written, some hands-on. There are no right or wrong answers.
Analysis
Dr. Baldassarre analyzes your results using standardized norms, taking into account your age, education, and background. Each result is interpreted with scientific rigor and individual context, without shortcuts.
Feedback session (optional)
The written report is faxed to your referring provider. Your referring doctor is your first point of contact they'll review the findings and coordinate next steps. If you have remaining questions after that appointment, an optional feedback session with Dr. Baldassarre is available to discuss the results directly.
